Furniture Design, Form in Motion: By. Zaha Hadid at the Philladlphia Museum of Art

Form in Motion: By. Zaha Hadid

Visiting Philadelphia's Museum of Art to see the furniture designs by Zaha Hadid, I expected the elongated and sculptural forms within the furniture design. However, I mostly enjoyed the exhibits design formatted to mimic the lines and style found in her furniture. This then created a background for such a futuristic style, that might have looked out of place in a traditional gallery space.

And of course, a super modern car to fit the lifestyle.

There were other famous pieces of furniture on display at the museum, by many famous designers and architects in history. I think this helps to give Zaha Hadid's ideas and designs reference to the history it has been plucked form, and so the importance of such a big step towards new forms and materials.
